Supporting Our Communities
Our contribution to community service brings our firm together, and deepens our understanding of the communities in which we earn our livelihood. Below are some examples of activities in which we actively participate.
Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation - Our firm participates in "Lee National Denim Day" held every year in October.Employees of the firm make a donation to the foundation and wear jeans and pink ribbon pins to show their support for the fight against breast cancer. Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is the nation's leading private funder of breast cancer research and community-based outreach programs.
Great American Bake
Big Brothers Big Sisters – Individuals in our firm donate their time and make contributions to this oldest youth mentoring organization in the
American Red Cross - The Virginia office hosted a Mardi Gras Luncheon to raise funds to donate to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Other community support activities include:
- Member and legal counsel for Oakton Community for Youth Safety
- Being appointed by a Fairfax County School Board Member to the Fairfax Adult Community Education Advisory Committee
- Donating legal services to the Fairfax County Legal Aid
- Volunteering time with regional Boy Scouts of America troop divisions
- Providing pro bono services for the Scrilli School & Daycare Center in Northeast D.C.
- Being involved in programs for men and boys at The Reston Study Center in Reston, Virginia
- Coordinating a charity drive for Carpenter's Shelter in Northern Virginia Carpenter's Shelter is a homeless shelter for children, families and adults
- Contributions to the Madison-Area Urban Ministry for Madison, Wisconsin's underprivileged youth
- Contributions to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services
- Contributions to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to support continued research in finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis
- Donate time and contributions to HomeAid, which is the Building Industry Association’s charity arm whose mission is to build or renovate shelters for transitionally homeless men, women and children.
